Every time I open a paper or browse the Internet, the economic crisis stares me in the face. It’s impossible to avoid. Businesses filing bankruptcy, foreclosures in the neighborhood, and continuous updates about how the American economy is negatively impacting the world’s economic markets. Taking these factors into consideration, it may be difficult to see how employment-based and immigration visas could positively affect the American housing market.

In reality, though, the people who enter the U.S. with EB visas have foreign degrees that are the U.S. equivalency of Bachelor or Master Degrees. They are well-educated, have excellent incomes, and possess good credit histories. Those workers holding EB visas who want to remain in the US have applied for permanent residency, and most have been in the country for at least five years, allowing them ample time to become familiar with the American culture and lifestyle.

These people aren’t taking American jobs, either. They hold foreign education credentials required to fill jobs in U.S. businesses that are not currently being filled or cannot be filled by American workers. These academic credentials are carefully documented through foreign credential evaluations performed by reputable evaluation agencies within the United States.

This only makes sense. Encouraging foreign workers who want to remain in the United States to buy a home allows them contributed to the American economy while living in the U.S. This also provides educated, financially responsible people who want to purchase homes and settle in family-centered neighborhoods in the United States. No Americans are losing their jobs as a result, these upstanding individuals are already in the U.S. working, and applying to stay here permanently.

Hopefully, the USCIS and American financial institutions can also see the good sense in this kind of a win-win arrangement. Everyone benefits, no one loses, and perhaps we can find a way to impact the world economy in a positive way!

I promised to keep you updated, and the word is starting to get out, but I don’t think the U.S. Military is going to meet Ms. Danzig’s challenge. Not this month, anyway. They are making headway, but they are going to have to keep working at it.

This weekend we were able to do another foreign education credentials evaluations for a young man entering military service. He had received a foreign high school diploma, and wanted to join the U.S. Armed Services. Our evaluation report was issued as quickly as possible, and the young man was able to present it to his recruiter for enlistment.

In September, four soldiers have requested educational evaluations from us for the purposes of serving their country or in advancing their career after their service. Document evaluations are free of charge, and for the most part, serve to prove high school completion or the U.S. equivalency of a foreign degree, including a Bachelor Degree or Master Degree.

We promised to try to help serve 50 soldiers each month, and we have been able to help all who have come to us for this service. We are still looking for more. Can you help us find more young men and women serving their country who need to have a foreign degree evaluated?

We promised to keep you informed about the U.S. Military’s response to Ms. Danzig’s offer of 50 foreign education credential evaluations each month to members of the United States Armed Forces. We recently had the pleasure of receiving another response from a proud member of this elite service. That brings our September total to 3 so far.

This free evaluation report is for document evaluations. The most recent educational evaluation for a military person was done for a course by course evaluation, which is almost twice as expensive as a document evaluation. Thanks to the patriotism of Sheila Danzig, CCI was able to offer this evaluation at less than half the cost.

We promised to keep you posted on how the U.S. military responded to the challenge issued by Career Consulting International. It must have taken a little while for the word to get out, because we had no responses in August. With that in mind, here is an update on the foreign education evaluations for September.

So far this month, we have been asked to evaluate foreign degrees for two members of the U.S. armed forces. We are hoping to have the privilege of completing an educational evaluation for a third individual this week. Although this does result in a 200 percent increase in our results from last month, we are still far short of our goal.

In early August, Ms. Danzig released a statement to the press offering U.S. equivalency evaluations free of charge to members of the U.S. military. She authorized her company, Career Consulting International, to complete 50 evaluation reports free of charge each month. So far, we are 48 – or perhaps 47 short of meeting her challenge to the American military.

So if you know anyone who received a foreign diploma or degree and is a member of a branch of the United States military, please encourage them to contact CCI for a free evaluation of their educational credentials.
